General Information
Submitted manuscripts that considered for publication must be original work of authors, and have not been published or under consideration for publication elsewhere. Abstracts presented in conferences which not published as a supplementary issue do not constitute prior publication. Manuscripts are publishable in the form of original articles, brief reports, review articles (systematic and narrative), case reports, and letters to the editor. The Journal frequency is quarterly.
The instructions for authors include information about preparing a manuscript for submission, criteria for publication, and the online submission process. We recommend that you read guidelines thoroughly since they highlight the journal’s submission requirements and is the best way to ensure your manuscript is properly formatted. Other relevant information about the journal can be found in “About Journal”.
 
Manuscript preparation
Main texts of submitted manuscript must be in the following formats:
 - Microsoft Word (DOC, DOCX(
 - Double line space
 - Fonts 12 Times New Roman
 - Continues page numbering at bottom of the pages
 - To ensuring a blind review, insert the Title page on a separate page.
- Cover letter, Figure original file, and other supporting files should be uploaded in the submission step 3 as a supplementary file or as an Attachments before finalizing your submission.
 
Cover letter:
All of the submitted manuscripts should be accompanied by a cover letter that contains the rationale of performing the research and selecting the IJVSET as well as a statement that the proposed manuscript is not published or under consideration in another journal until the reviewing process completed. Also please indicate whether the authors have published or submitted any related papers from the same study. Finally any possible conflicts of interest must be clearly declared.
 
Title Page:
The title page must be included in a separate page and contain the type of article, the title of work, running title or short title (not exceeding 50 characters including spaces),  the full name of the author(s), affiliation(s) and detailed information of the corresponding author(s) include the name(s), degree, phone and fax number, email, and current working address. We strongly recommend providing ORCID ID for the corresponding author(s).
 
Abstract and Keywords:
The manuscript must be accompanied by a non-structured English abstract. Abstracts should be no more than 250 words for original and review articles, and no more than 150 words for brief and case reports. Provide 3-5 keywords, separated by comma (,).
 
Main text:
Original articles: This type of article must include an introduction, materials (patients) and methods, results, discussion, conclusions, and references. The length of the paper must not exceed 4,000 words excluding the references, abstract, figures, and tables.
Brief reports: This type of article must include introduction, materials (patients) and methods, results, discussion, conclusions, and references. The length of the paper must not exceed 1,500 words excluding the references, abstract, figures, and tables. Only two tables or figures allowed.
Narrative review articles: No restricted structure followed for this type of article, but the text should be divided into sections by suitable headings, and include a comprehensive conclusion. The use of appropriate tables and figures are also encouraged.
Systematic reviews and Meta-analysis: This type of article must include introduction, materials and methods, results, discussion, conclusions, and references.
Case reports: This type of article must include introduction, case presentation, discussion, conclusion, acknowledgment (if applicable), and references. In a case report, the maximum number of tables or figures are 2 and references are 20. The length should not exceed 1500 words. Informed consents should be obtained from the patients to report their cases
Letters to the Editor: Two types of letters are welcomed, commenting either on a recently published article or reporting limited original research. The length of letters should be no more than 500 words. The letters should not contain an abstract, subheadings, more than 15 references, and two tables and figures.
Erratum: To better serve our audience, IJVSET accepts Erratum or Publisher Correction for the error made by either the journal or authors during the publication process of a published article. You can submit your Erratum as a new submission via our online system in a Microsoft Word file. After peer-review it will be linked to the original file of the article.
 
References:
Citation in text:
Please ensure that every reference cited in the main text is also included in the reference list (and vice versa). Using unpublished results and personal communications are not acceptable in the reference list but can be used as a quotation in the text. Reference citation numbers should be consecutively and placed in square brackets [1], or [1-3]. All the references cited in the main text should be listed as they appear in the text at the end of the manuscript under a separate heading entitled “References”.

Standard Vancouver reference style should be followed as shown below:
Journal articles:

Online documents:
Author/organization's name (if available). Title of the page [Internet]. Place of publication: Publisher's name; Publication date or year [updated date - year month day; cited date - year month day]. Available from: URL
 
Tables and Figures:
Tables and figures must be cited in order which they appear in the text, using Arabic numerals (Table 1, Figure 1). All tables and figures must appear on separate pages at the end of the manuscript. Tables should be simple and should not duplicate information in the main text. Do not submit tables as a snapshot. Figures should be provided only if they add further information. Legends for all figures should be included in the main file with the text. Acceptable formats for figures are JPEG or TIFF with a minimum resolution of 300 dpi.
 
Supplementary:
Supplementary files in any format will be freely available online, but it is recommended that to use common format files. Supplementary files must be cited in order which they appear in the text as Supplementary file 1, 2, etc.
 
Authorship:
The corresponding author is responsible to confirm that all of the listed authors have read and approved the final version of the submitted manuscript. Also, the corresponding author should ensure that the listed authors have made a substantive contribution to the article. The authors’ contributions must be declared in the “Authors' contributions” section. All contributors who did not meet the criteria for authorship should be listed in the “Acknowledgements” section.
Please note that authors do not permit changing the authorship after acceptance of a manuscript. Any change in authorship after initial submission must be provided by sending a letter to the editorial office described celery the reason(s) of any alterations and signed confirmation of all authors. The editorial office may ask authors to confirm their responses directly via email.
 
Funding:
All sources of funding and the role of the sponsor(s) for the research should be declared under a separate heading entitled “Funding”.
 
Conflicts of interest:
Authors must fully declare any existing or potential conflicts of interest of a financial, personal, or any other nature that could affect or bias their research. If there is no declaration, please include ‘None Declared’.
 
Human and animals rights:
All manuscripts concerning clinical investigations with humans or human materials must have been performed in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki and should include a statement confirming that all subject or subject’s guardian provided written consent before participation after adequate explanation. Also, all studies must include a statement that the project was approved by the local Ethical Committee. Any reasons for waiving to obtain informed consent must be clearly declared.
All manuscripts reporting the results of experimental investigations involving animals are required to give an assurance statement that the animals were cared for in accordance with a standard guide to the care and use of experimental animals and must include a statement that their use of animals and experiments was reviewed and approved by the local Ethical Committee.

If the submitted article reports the results of a health care intervention on human participants (a clinical trial study), it is mandatory to have a registration number from a public trials registry that allows free online access to the public.


Article-processing and publication charge:
Publication in IJVSET is free of charge, and there are no submission or publication charges. Also, there is no fee for using color images.
